Website Content Planner
Write down your business description, services, key pages, calls to action, photos and planned changes in one place.
Step 1
Define the goal
You’ll create one source of truth for your website’s words: how you describe your business, your services, the pages that matter and the action each page should lead to.
Learn the background first: Lesson 10: How often should you update your website?
Step 2
Gather information
Collect only what you need for this exercise. Tick each one as you have it ready.
The Site Desk never asks for passwords, card numbers or other secrets. Keep those in a password manager.
Step 3
Follow the instructions
- 1Describe the business in one breath
Write what you do, for whom and where, in one or two sentences, the way you’d say it to a customer. Specific beats clever: “Family-owned HVAC in Medina since 2002” beats “committed to excellence”.
- 2List services the way customers search
Use the words customers use (“furnace repair”, not “thermal solutions”). One line on the result each service gives.
- 3Pick your important pages
Usually: Home, each main service, About, Contact. For each, decide the one action it should lead to.
- 4Plan photos and changes
Note the photos you have or need, and the changes you want to make next. Real photos of your work and team build more trust than stock images.
Step 4

Rather not do it yourself?
Send the work to the TL Web Design team through Client Updates. We review what you need and send an estimate when one applies. Nothing changes on your website and nothing is charged until you approve it.
