Website Update Request Planner
Plan every change with all six details, then carry it straight into Client Updates.
Step 1
Define the goal
You’ll plan a complete update request (page, location, current content, replacement, files, priority and date) so it can be estimated and done without back-and-forth.
Learn the background first: Lesson 06: How to submit website changes correctly
Step 2
Gather information
Collect only what you need for this exercise. Tick each one as you have it ready.
The Site Desk never asks for passwords, card numbers or other secrets. Keep those in a password manager.
Step 3
Follow the instructions
- 1One row per change
Add a row for each separate change. If one page has three changes, that’s three rows.
- 2Copy what it says now
Paste the current text exactly, so it’s clear what’s being replaced.
- 3Write the final replacement
Write it exactly as it should appear. It will be used word for word, so check names, numbers and spelling.
- 4Files and dates
Note each photo or file you’ll attach. Add a date only where there’s a real reason for it.
Step 4
Record your results
Changes
Saved automatically as you type.
Step 5
Verify completion
Step 6
Choose your next action
Ready to send?
Your plan carries into the Client Updates form on this device, so you only add your photos, check the estimate and send. You can also copy the summary and paste it into your request.
Level 3 · Professional implementation
Rather not do it yourself?
Send the work to the TL Web Design team through Client Updates. We review what you need and send an estimate when one applies. Nothing changes on your website and nothing is charged until you approve it.
