DLuxe Beauty: a salon that owns its booking.

DLuxe Beauty Consulting is a hair salon in Fairlawn, just outside Akron, known for dimensional color and textured-hair care. TL Web Design built the salon's website and a custom booking platform with customer accounts, an owner back end, a stylist view and automatic text reminders, instead of renting one of the big salon apps.

What was built

One build, three experiences.

Clients book and manage visits, the owner runs the day, and each stylist sees their own chair. All of it on the salon's own platform, with the business rules in its own database.

  1. 01

    Custom booking engine

Open times are worked out in the database from each stylist's hours, existing bookings, blocked time and lead time, and two people can never book the same slot. Built in-house instead of renting Vagaro, Fresha or Booksy.

  2. 02

    Customer accounts

Clients can book with or without an account, see their upcoming visits, and reschedule or cancel online until the salon's cancellation window.

  3. 03

    Owner back end (/admin)

A private dashboard for the day: calendar, phone and walk-in bookings, check-in and check-out, client records, services, team and hours, and the salon's message templates.

  4. 04

    Stylist view (/staff)

Each stylist signs in to see only their own schedule, their clients and their notes.

  5. 05

    Text reminders

A text the morning of the appointment and another 30 minutes before, only to clients who opted in, with quiet hours and STOP handling.

  6. 06

    Processing-time aware

Color services can mark a processing window, so a stylist can take another client while color processes.

How it fits together

Drawn, not staged.

Simplified wireframes of the platform. Real salon photography will replace them when the owner supplies it.

Why custom

Not another rented app.

  • The salon's booking rules live in its own system: hours, processing time, cancellation windows and approvals
  • Clients book on the salon's site under the salon's name, not inside a marketplace next to competitors
  • The owner, the stylists and the clients each get their own view, with only the information they need
  • Reminder texts go only to clients who opted in, respect quiet hours and handle STOP replies
  • Built with React, TypeScript and Supabase, so new features can be added as the salon grows
